“Attempts Against The Wind“ is a circular pray, a summoning of a vision, a choreographic attemp. The transmission of a message capted by the body. A constant alchemic attemp to transform the matter body into something else, surrender to the wind for learning to endure and keep going.

Il Ritorno || Experimental Performance || 2016
Il Ritorno (The Return) was an experimental performance realized on November 1st 2016, the day on which, by astrological calculations, the planet Saturn would be on the same position it was on the day the artist was borned. This performative action was a fictional ritual to represent an important moment, according to astrological beliefs, which is the first complete Saturn cycle, that happens around the age of 29 years old.

Public Dances || Contemporary Dance Site-Specific || 2014
The Public Dances were 3 site-specific choreographic experiences which were part of Attempts Against The Wind creative process. The procedure consisted in dancing from a relation to the vertical wind coming out from a subway vent in addition to the materiality of plastic raincoats. Those 3 experiences happened in the city of São Paulo.

Chico Lima's ongoing project is a research still in it's first, having not yet been shown for the general public. Currently, it consists on a choreographic relation between the dancer's body and a very long wire that causes distortions, changes and new structure proposals to the material, in a mutual dance in which the wire also affects and modifies the performer's body. A human, organic, warm body and a metallic, inorganic and cold material merge, mix, intertwine, disturbe and potentiate each other.
